How I got here.

I know I promised to let you know what I have been doing during my absence. It is a torrid emotional story. I used to work at a For Profit Division of a large Not For Profit. Their big deal was safety. I was a Food Safety Auditor, my focus was the growing and production of agricultural commodities. It was a great job for a while but, we were a recently acquired division. there were some growing pains and unfortunately I did not survive them. Once I finished licking my battle wounds I started calling people I knew, asking if they knew anyone who was looking for someone with my skills. I had a new job in less than 2 months. I was lucky I had quit my job during one of the biggest economic downturns the country has ever known. I had plenty of gut wrenching moments where I wondered if I was crazy. I admit it I was a total girl and I cried. Now I work for one of my former clients a rather large produce company that has divisions all over the world. I have a great boss and totally awesome coworkers.

This is supposed to be a knitting blog so I will let you know, I have been dyeing yarn. I will tell you about that next time.

Dear little blog I have abandoned you for what must seem like forever. I promise it was not you, it was me. I realy do love you. I promise all of those other blogs I read are just friends. You are the Peanut Butter to my Jelly, the Nut to my Bolt, the Knit to my Purl. OK so all tongue in cheek Joking aside I am sorry I have neglected this blog for so long. My next post will be the Quick and Dirty of the last 21 months. It involves quitting a job, getting a better one, 12 whole months of staying home, and a return to the desert.

Oh yeah this is Willa Mia Dog Dog. She lives in Crazy Town now. We will interview her at a later date.

Over the River and Through the Woods

I have been on the road for work since last Thursday. I Started this little jaunt with a quick trip to Pasco Washington. The Columbia river was Beautiful. Now I am in sunny Yuma Arizona, I have been here since Monday. I spent most of the winter here for work, it has one problem there are no yarn stores. With all of my travelling I have not had a chance to start my first sweater. I got the yarn at Stiches, which was awsome. We had a little yarn slumber party at a friends house who lives near the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Crazytown is a lovely place. Full of crazy. And chickens. And also a small vegetable garden in a childs swimming pool.

If you go there, you need to be careful not to be eaten by a coyote. Especially if you are a chicken or a small dog.
